Bring Empathy Into Your Classroom

A free, fully resourced inclusive literacy experience for Reception to Year 2, funded entirely by local and national businesses who believe in your community.
Launching with Harvey’s Silent Discovery, the first in a growing library of inclusive stories chosen to spark understanding, empathy and connection in your classroom.

The Story Behind It

My son is non-verbal and autistic, and watching the world struggle to connect with him is what started all of this.
I wrote Harvey’s Silent Discovery because I wanted children to see the world through his eyes and to understand that silence isn’t absence, it’s just a different kind of voice.
I created The Empathy Book Initiative because I believe if we reach children early enough, inclusion stops being something we have to teach. It just becomes who they are. Not a lesson. Not a project. Just normal.
That’s the world I’m building for him. And for every child like him.
